I got the same email. But 15 minutes later my Sweetwater Rep called and said I should be getting the codes today. When I asked him about the email, he didn't seem to know anything about it, and said that everything went through just fine. So I'm figuring that it's just an automated email because they don't have the codes just yet, or something like that.

I'm pretty sure that my purchase of new guitars, drums and basses on his paypal account was NOT the problem.

Yes, it seems the best strategy is to buy from a 3rd party and wait for the major bugs to be ironed out, then register.  That way you get the best price, the show-stoppers fixed and then 12 months after that.  If you're able to wait a bit, that is.
 



Yep.  That's what I plan on doing.  Especially since I won't have free time for awhile and want to clean up my system before I install etc.
