Just ordered the boxed version from Sweetwater for $149 and paid via PayPal. Shipping to Canada $13.90
Dollar conversion?? Probably 25%

Update: Received a call from Fort Wayne Indiana. Friendly sweetwater dude letting me know they will probably be receiving there order around the 26th and he will ship after that.

I took Andrew's statement to mean an order from retailers will not lose time (penalized) off your 12 moths as you wait for your redemption code.

Exactly Bapu, but are we really to worry about losing time now?

You shouldn't be. In retail, we have no idea you purchased until you redeem the code. Then that's when we know you have purchased this product. When you purchase from us, we know right away and that's when your date begins.

So TMLIFYO, you can buy from a retailer  today, hopefully receive the code today, BUT wait to "redeem" the code a week or a month, your subscription starts that day.
I dont see a reason to wait, however. The CC will push down any patches etc as soon as they are released,
The only thing early registration may lose if say the next big update comes 12 months and 1 day aftera 12 month upfront  registration, but you can renew for one month and gain the update.

I thought very hard about it this time.

But with this group buy I´ve saved a few bucks and I think it´s a pretty fair deal.

So, made my bet, Cakewalk. Now don´t dissapoint me.

You purchased the MEMBERSHIP through JRR, or the up front payment? The monthly membership for Platinum for X3 producer users $14.99. Is that available at JRR? I went to check and all I could find was the up front payments.

True, it wasn't membership, paid up front.

Does anyone remember the code from JRR? It seems to be 149 there now. I thought I'd try to use the code if anyone remembers it. Maybe it is for sale cheaper somewhere else, I'm looking. I was away for a few days. I guess I should have bought it last week, but I didn't. I don't want to mess around and end up paying 199 instead of 149... but.

Thanks,
J

it is a GROUP buy
hint

Thanks, I'll try. I just remembered that I got a SW gift certificate for SW for Christmas... so if the JRR does not work I'll call Tim at SW! Thanks!

No, if you only pay for one month, on month two you revert to the 12th month version. There are no partial puchase plans.

In order to have a forever unlocked code base you have to pay for 12 months (up front or 12 consecutive payments).

I realize you probably have not been reading everything up here for the last few days so I thought I just clue you in to that misconception.
