Hey guys,

So I finally got the Scarlett 6i6 and hooked it up to my PC via USB 2.  Works great so far when playing Dimension Pro samples live but, after recording it and playing it back, the samples sound "duplicated" almost as if I'm playing two of the same instruments at the exact same time.

Anyone know what would cause this?

I have looked through the Scarlett mixer console which controls ASIO latency, etc and also have looked through Cakewalk Sonar X1's preferences and still no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help!

I have this too, but not always. sometimes I'll start playback, some midi part will play twice (or play when it's not supposed to), then stop and start again, and it's fine then. midi is a complete mess at the moment in sonar.

When you say "after recording it and playing it back", do you mean recording and playing back just MIDI? Is Dim Pro inserted as a Simple Instrument track or separate MIDI and synth Audio tracks? What keyboard/controller are you using? Is it connected by both MIDI and USB and/or can it send on more than one channel? Do you have the Input to the track set to only a specific channel of a specific input? If you view the MIDI in Event View do you see only one event for each note? Is the doubled sound like phasing, or more like a short delay/echo?
