Since the command center doesn't work, can I get my updates from the web?

Was this discussed in another thread or do you have steps to reproduce?
References please.

Thanks.

I wish I knew that before I downloaded & installed everything

Maybe he is referring to installing on a different HD? There was a thread about C3 not understanding that and creating a fresh install on C instead of an update of an installation on, say, D.

Installation destination selection (lack there of) kept me from using C3 for Platinum installation.  I'm hoping the old way will still be available forever.

Command Center will download the files but you don't have to use it to install them. You should find the files under Program Data Cakewalk Command Center Downloads.

And a nice feature that surprised me is "read me" files that show up during installation get downloaded to the "Downloads" folder.

OK, this is good news.  Now, how do I get C3 to be aware of everything I have installed?  I went thru the individual installers outside of C3.  How do I get it to check for updates for everything?  C3 does "recognize" the base installation, but not the sub-components.  Let me show a pic ... all of theses items are installed, but this is how C3 displays them:

I guess you don't understand. CCC is annoyingly bright and I can't use it because I can't see anything because it's so bright. I want to download the updates from the web and uninstall that ridiculous looking CCC.

I'm kinda curious about this as well. I don't have internet on my DAW. Do I just periodically have to download the whole Platinum program every time I want to get the updates?
