I know that with the more costly DAWs they have some kind of latency compensation that is used when you route to an external device. I have read in a couple magazines that it can be a problem but I don't know the techincal issues. Anyway, I may just have to try messing with it this weekend. The Replex has a very good reverb as well so it may be worth the effort.

Doc,

I was refering to hardware outboard gear. I have a H&K Replex (tape delay immulator) that I would love to use but I'm too lazy to try and figure out how to wire it all in. I was thinking that I could assign a bus output to one of my Presonus mixer outs, run a cable to the H&K, back into the Presonus inst. in and then record all that to a seperate track which could then be nudged to line the audio back into sync. But that seems like a lot of work when I have all this free software sitting on my computer that can simulate the simulated tape delay.

BTW I put a new tune up on Soundclick (shameless self promotion)

It sounds like a complicated way to get more latency.

BTW - I listened to a few tracks you put up on soundclick. I would suggest learning a few more chords. There is a lot of "sameness" to the songs.
