"Ooh! Aah!" He says, crossing his legs.

Speaking of taking care of thy ball. Is the trackball prone to becoming greasy from constant digital contact?

Just thinking like old mice used to pick up crap from your mouse pad or desktop, then they invented laser/optical mice and no more dirty balls.

Yes, they can pick up crap.  It usually ends up on the bearings, but on the logitech, you just pop the ball out and wipe the crap off the bearings with you finger.  Usually when I do this, I wipe the ball off, too.  Not a big deal.

Yep, just pull the ball out and wipe it down.

I got the Kensington Expert wireless/Bluetooth.

Why have I waited so long to get a trackball. This is great. Thanks for the recommendations.

It is pretty nice, especially once you get muscle memory for automation/fader moves. For awhile, I kept my mouse and trackball plugged in and used the mouse for navigation, but I finally gave it up and disconnected it.

Anyone have that $29 model?  I think I'm going to go back to wired keyboards.  They still put P/S2 on motherboards.
