Sounded amazingly good for what it is...
Modern day equivalent to what many of us had in a 4-track or 8-track porta-studio (back in the day).
 
My vocal instructor and his songwriting partner use iPads to record records.
Note, they don't edit/mix their material.
The iPads are just used to capture the tracks (using external mics/preamps/etc).

it's a v1 ipad air, gifted by work who were starting the whole byod thing, and only wanted to support apple (ffs) but i found a use :-)

Haven't watched a TRR video in... years! Enjoyable to see he's still trucking through, and even more impressive to see him doing an entire recording and mix on something like a smartphone!!!
