Membership?

I notice my BandLab install says "Membership Valid through 10/3/2018. Does this mean the "free" Cakewalk by BandLab will expire on that date? or that it will require some type of purchase after that date?

this was answered in one of the other threads - it's just an arbitrary date that will be changed soon - who knows what will come in the future?

Why even have it if its arbitrary? It just causes confusion. I've seen posts on other forums about this.

yes..mythread...same question... someone replied that it will be removed in a future update... shame its there ...causes discombobulation!

This is an early release of CbB. It would have been nice if it were removed before the release. Regardless, you are correct it is going to be removed.

"QUICK UPDATE: The 04-10-2018 in the license/about us is just an arbitrary 6 month date set for authorization checks - it's confusing and will be removed in future versions. It's NOT an expiry date :-)"

There was an incredible amount of stuff to get done in 5 weeks, unfortunately this one didn't make the core priority list :-) will be addressed though!
