Maybe I've missed it, but, is there anyway to use Staff View when you have multiple takes?
All I get is a mashed up mess of all the takes on one staff which is impossible to edit.
Should this be a feature request/bug fix or is there a workaround which does not involve copying each take to a new track in order to edit it?

Staff view has not changed since X1 when it got even worse than it was in 8.5.
Take lanes (as they exist now) are new in X3 so, no.
There are no plans by Cake to fix Staff View.

I'm well aware of the stepchild status of Staff View. I was inquiring if anyone had a work-around for using SV while comping.
 

Just to be clear... There were three staff bug fixes in X3C and Cakewalk has said that with Platinum there is more chance of fixes although none on the table at present.

Moving/Copying takes to separate tracks is going to be it. Basically, you're needing the staff view to offer hiding muted clips as the PRV does. That would be an enhancement request. Whatever you do, don't ask for the Staff View to have take lanes added.
