Until now, when using drum maps, I wasn't able to solo an audio drum track without also putting the midi track in solo but now with Sonar Platinum, you can just press solo and it works! Sweet!  Thanks bakers!!

There's scores of these little unheralded fixes.

I also think the PRV now remembers the horizontal and vertical zoom settings. These used to vary randomly and would drive me crazy!

Yes, many of them in response to forum comments.

I noticed that too...in the few minutes I've had the chance to play with Platinum.  YEA!!!  That will be SO helpful to me.  Looking forward to discovering all the other little fixes that have been made in the new upgrade...!

Holy Guacamole!  I have been waiting for the drum solo/map thing forever.  And I thought I was happy with Platinum before....  What an awesome unlooked for "bonus".  This is fantastic.

I think I still have to group the solo in the audio and midi drum track to get it to work. I'll try later.

I also noticed that the drum pane opens when you double click a drum midi clip. Before, it would open the PRV and you had to manually click "Show Drum Pane". I love that.

MIDI workflow also seems to be A LOT better outside of something changing with the buffer between X3 and 2015.

I'm not usually the one to rain on the parade, but from my perspective the main complaint about his issue has always been that soloing MIDI tracks in the PRV does not solo the corresponding synth output, and that's still the case as far as I can tell.

Also, I did a quick test of soloing audio tracks of drum-mapped synths, and, oddly, it seemed to work in a project using AD, but not in one using Superior Drummer. I need to look into this a little more, but there was a difference between X3e and Platinum in this respect; Soloing AD's audio track in X3e silenced the drums.

EDIT: I'll be danged if I can figure out why soloing AD's audio track is working in this one project, but it's not working in a new project created in Platinum, so I'm going to say essentially there is no change from X3 with regard to soloing across drum maps in either direction.

I just did a test using Superior and inserted a GM map. At first no drums at all. Forgot to set output in the map. After that it was smooth sailing. Alternated between Kick and Snare solo with the exact desired results.

Are you soloing inside Superior or soloing audio output tracks? If you're soloing channels inside Superior, that will work because it doesn't cause SONAR to mute the MIDI track(s) as soloing an audio track does.
