i just had the problem mentioned earlier w/the vx-64 vocal strip.  making that click.  my vocal tracks just stopped making sound & i narrowed the problem down to the aforementioned plugin.  weird thing though is that i also have the same plugin instantiated in other places in the project, but in those places it works fine.

tried reinstalling the vx-64 vocal strip & that did not fix the issue.  now i will spend time trying to replicate what i was doing in the vx-64 with other plugins. lame

One thing I remember about what I did is that just bypassing the plug in one at a time was not enough. I actually had to bypass the plug in while playing then stop the transport and hit play again. Bypassing while in play was not enough to find out which one was causing the problem , you had to stop and start play again to see if that was the plug in. Hope this makes sense.
 

Well I had it happen to me again today. I was inserting the vx64 plug in on the track and got the click and no audio would play. Went through all the steps I have tried in the past and still could not get it to work even after deleting the vx64 plug in entirely. Finally went through all the pro channels and bypassing them , when I got to the last one which was a bus for reverb I bypassed it and audio came back on. I had the Rematrix reverb in the prochannel so I bypassed it  and my audio was playing as expected. I deleted the whole bus and recreated it with the reverb effect, then went to the vocal track and inserted my vx64 with no issues.

yeah i find this to be a strange development regarding the vx64 plugin, because i have been using it in nearly every project since its inception & now all the sudden, it doesn't work.  it's been a while since a Cakewalk product has made me this angry
