It's possible to install VVocal without installing Sonar, provided you have a Sonar version with VVocal installed on a different Computer. I did this when I installed Sonar X3 on a new computer.
1. Copy the complete VVocal folder from "...\Shared Components\Shared DXi" wherever it is on each computer.
2. Export the following registry entries from where VVocal is installed into a reg file, say VVocal.reg:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0E7C41F0-68A2-45F5-B9C2-CC37BA99810D}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{3CB6453B-E79A-4A8C-AD02-943F87C2EAC6}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Filter\{3CB6453B-E79A-4A8C-AD02-943F87C2EAC6}
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\devenum 64-bit\{083863F1-70DE-11D0-BD40-00A0C911CE86}\{3CB6453B-E79A-4A8C-AD02-943F87C2EAC6}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs
3. Adjust all folder paths in VVocal.reg if necessary (use \\ instead of \ as path separator).
4. Double click VVocal.reg on the computer where you want to install VVocal to update the registry.
