So glad to see Sonar breathing again. The forums here are amazing. So long as the community and previous posts are preserved I have no problem changing forums. Great see the interaction from an owner.
I invested nearly 2,000 in studio one after the bad news, bought a new quantum 2 interface and faderport to work with studio one and still not even mad, I’d still switch back to Sonar in a second.
I think a big thing for Sonar was hardware. Programs like PT and S1 have lots of hardware designed for them, I would love hardware to work with Sonar.

Well you can see a few good reasons to start fresh and why this forum needs to go.
This forum was dead anyways. Very few people were asking "Sonar" questions as there were no more newbies and new features. That's gone, no more newbies and no more new features. And no point complaining about bugs or feature request too.
The most active sub forum has been Software were this community is trying to help each other figure other DAW's. That's certainly not good for business. I've learned more about other DAW's here than I ever had in the past.

And if they are going to release a new DAW it will undoubtedly be different so might as well start there

Would anyone mind if we moved from APG to an alternative forum framework provider?

Please, and sorry for the dumb question: what is APG?

O yes, dummy me, I noticed just a minute ago and hoped nobody had found my stupid question yet. Ok, too late...
Anyway, I feel quite comfortable with this  forum, and how it works.

It doesn't bode well for APG that their latest blog post asks, "So, what's coming to our software in 2015?"

I'm fine with a new forum and provider, even a new web site.
I think the sooner the better. It will be good with a fresh start.
With all the dead links around here it's a bit depressive/"has been".

Thanks for asking.  Whatever you need to do, in the words of a good friend, after I ask his opinion, he always comes back with  'let it rip, tater chip'.

Take care,

You mean it's not 2014 anymore?
