See Cake page:

http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/10db

It shows the Compressor module, but not the EQ.

I don't remember ProChannel modules ever being freebies. There might be an introductory discount but we ain't getting this for free no way.

It's at the bottom of the posted page announcing it...at least part of it...

It would be QUITE detrimental to Cake to NOT make this part of the "Platinum" experience ...
But they've done a lot of "silly" things...so here's to "wait and see"

Looks great. I was interested in this when Boz announced some of this set not long ago.

I imagine from the size of the PC width Cake will provide either comp or EQ (I like the comp w/ built-in parallel compression and an expander).  The channel strip is probably a vst only effect since it doesn't look like it will fit in PC, tho I guess you could stack them.

I would hope one of them will be the "upcoming," but I wouldn't bet on it.  Third party stuff mostly gets paid for, until the next update when some of it is included w/ the new model number.  In this case an update.

They haven't even made the old stuff (SSL Channel comp, 2A, concrete limiter, etc. for example) free, and you're expecting the hot new stuff? At best, this plug will be discounted for subscr... ahem... members. And maybe in a few months when the initial release hype dies down, it will be given away with new Sonar purchases as a bonus. The strategy with Cakewalk (and everyone else, really) has always been (1) release as standalone product, (2) milk everyone who's willing to pay for it, (3) gradually reduce price trying to get the money of everyone who hasn't paid yet, and finally (4) bundle it with something else to increase the value of another product. This is a simple price discrimination strategy that every vendor does.

agreed. if this, or part of this, is not free then it is incredibly poor timing. we just made an investment based on promised additional updates and features, and while I dont expect this to include everything released to the CW store, immediately releasing a paid product is not very reaffirming. Regardless, its nice to see a new developer jumping into Pro Channel modules.
