It's smoking.  Initially the first hour of use or so....I seemed to have a little PRV glitch with the tools...but that briefly occurred. Might have been operator error.  It has now been rolling along like a steam roller, ....snappy, everything working, no glitches, etc.  As a Toontrack fan, I'm really enjoying AD2 for a breather and composing music seems to have never been more inspired.  Totally the setup I've always strived to point in that direction... quick inspiration, keep the recording process out of the way, unless you use it to be creative.
I really kinda had to convince myself to jump ship from X3e... but I'm soooooo glad I did.  Plus it's going to be gravy for the next 12 months.
Just a good report....  all is well... move along !!
Thx Cakewalk ;-)

depends if you're addicted to drums..    It's pretty adjustable and if it was the ONLY program you had, it would work.  I've just used Toontrack for so long and really like Superior, but AD2 sounds kinda "raw" in a good way.  Not a slick recording, so to speak....although nicely done.  There's New York "slick" (Toontrack) and then there's Californification with AD2.

When I work with SupDrummer2 I feel like I'm working with real drums, not a program.after years of doing that I don't want to change. Haven't evn updated from AD1.

I'm a confirmed Toontrack S2 addict (I don't even want to think about the money I've spent on expansion kits - all well worth it to be sure) and took A2 out for a spin a bit yesterday and really liked them so far. Too early to know if they'll find their way into my mixes as much as S2 but we shall see.

Back to the OP. Yep, I think Sonar Plat is great.

Just another +1 to add to the list...     "smooth" has also been my experience so far.

I'm liking it very much. Lots of things to figure out, since I'm new to Sonar, but I'm getting there.
