Isn't it funny. Years of people screaming. No more plugins and shiny things. We want a core product that's stable.

Finally Cakewalk are in a position to do this with Gibsons support and now people are complaining about the old addon content being rubbish.

Just goes to show.

@drone7 "What do we have to do, turn-up with a bazooka at Cakewalk head-office and force them to do upgrades at gunpoint, what's it gonan take?"
As for threatening violence in a post even jokingly in this world I think is so way over the top you should be banned.

Wow - for starters, DAW software developers focus on tools for us to record, edit, publish. Along the way we sometimes get amp sims and soft synths, but I don't look to Cake or any of the DAW developers to provide those tools for me and none of those get me in the checkout lane. There are companies that focus on those types of products and that is where I shop. All this whining is wimpy. Be thankful for the amazing tools you have to make your own content. Use Sonar, Reaper, Cubase, anything and make some music. (Did I read the word deplorable in regards to D-Pro?) The OP can afford "6" daws and is complaining about his laptop and the lack of good amp sims. That's somewhere in the ball park of $2500 to $3000 investment in DAWS!! A great amp sim is under 2 bills (S-gear), all kinds of great synths are out there just for the buying. After spending money on "6" daws, then drop in here to complain that this new version didn't provide people with Les Pauls and Korg Workstations. What it does provide are solid / reliable recording tools with a great workflow. No, it won't bring you actual cake.

I have installed new SONAR yesterday. It still does not write music on itself! I refuse to use included AD2 or create new kits in Session Drummer, I have just expected that what I had starts to sound better. But it still sound crappy. Very disappointed. Also I have started to use Sonar 1965 on БЭСМ-6 computer, I have just forgot all my previous accounts

Logic has other synths and stuff that might work in sonar if you can use a program to network the 2 computers like say midi over lan or another and then use the mac as processor for all your synth processing offloaded from your main DAW. This will free up processing power on your computer that you use Sonar on. I would love to have a mac so I could run other software that is not available to me on PC but I would still use my PC to record using Sonar, I would not give up on getting band camp to work. Try finding someone who has been there and done that.

I've used Sonar with Bootcamp on a Macbook Pro without any issues. In fact, I've done multiple tours with it even. If you could describe your exact problem I'm sure someone could help out...

^^^^^    Yeah, it's not really making much sense IMO.

Question: has anyone here actually used all of the existing free content in Dim Pro?   Just curious.

There are trolls, as well as the melodramatic, that feel the need to put on a forum they are leaving. Just leave. No one cares. If Sonar doesn't work for you - leave. If you a truly unhappy with the product, Cakewalk has a customer service department you can contact to let them know. The melodramatic crap is immature and LAME. It doesn't accomplish anything and they sound like whiners.

I really think what is happening here is that all the Pirates are getting shut down after years of free products and support, and they are angry being taken off the dole. Oh well.
