Is there any way to get Cakewalk to hold on to its Windows clipboard contents longer?
 
Sometimes Cakewalk does not like to open two project files simultaneously.
 
Is there any reason why Cakewalk does not retain its Windows clipboard content for bouncing tracks from one project file to another.
 
Once you close a Cakewalk project the clipboard contents are erased. This has been the case for even older versions of Cakewalk also.

Not to address your clipboard question, but there is a setting in Edit->Preferences->File->Advanced that changes whether Sonar will Allow Only One Open Project at a Time. Maybe the only way to get the clipboard to work properly is have both projects open.

That is not the problem I am having but thanks for the suggestion Bvideo. 

I find sometimes that if I have problems with items being lost by the clipboard to use ctrl+c, ctrl+v rather than menu or right click menu copy and paste.
