Hello,

I'm new to Sonar, installed it this evening. The program isn't very responsive for me at the moment, no smooth playback (counter goes from 1:03 -> 2:05 -> 3:07, meters behave the same, so no realtime. Everything is laggy.

I'm on windows 7 x64, 8 gig, steinberg ur22

Nice to hear.

The less negative news about the new Sonar the better.

If this happens in the future try pressing the pause button on your computer keyboard.

I used to do that all the time with the "O" 'Offset' keystroke Jim. I was hitting it a lot because I had the adjacent "P" key bound to PRV, "K" bound to 'LocK Clip Position', and the 'L' key to 'toggle Loop on/off'. My stubby fingers were not helping the situation at all

I nearly ended up lobbing my computer onto the back lawn one rather frustrating evening as I just couldn't figure out what was going on

Thankfully, someone on the forum recognised the symptoms and pointed to my being in Offset mode.

Since then, I've always reassigned the "O" key to something other than 'Offset' - my current favourite use for "O" is to have it bound to 'Set LOop To Selection'.

Cheers John, just tried it and indeed after pressing it, it does exactly what my problem was. Good to know that pressing it again makes it all go away. It really was doing my head in, think i restarted Sonar about 10 times in a row, before finally restarting my pc haha.
