I just received an email from CakeWalkNews, that says the cost is $19.99 monthly.
I clicked the link, and the Cakewalk Store says its $14.99 monthly.
 
Who is right?

its 14.99 now, it will be 19.99 later when the intro offer is over.
 
EDIT: it will remain at 14.99 for the 12 months if you buy it during the intro offer just to be clear.

14.99 was if your upgrading from specifically X3 producer. it is 149.99 total upfront. i believe its a short time offer to upgrade from ANY other sonar producer for 19.99 or $199 upfront. I could be wrong, but from what i read thats what i saw. I just paid the 149.99 upfront to upgrade from X3

What likely happened was we sent an email to you at an email you used to buy a previous version of SONAR Producer. When you logged in, you used the account that had SONAR X3 Producer in it and it automatically shows you the right price. So it's probably just a bad record that we have for you or something that wasn't combined. You are all set to purchase for $14.99.

As I wrote elsewhere, be aware that monthly costs you an extra $30...

I believe what Joden's saying is that if you pay $14.99 for 12 months, that's $179.88, which is $30.88 more than the one-time $149.00 upfront price.  In other words, the final total is roughly $30 more if you spread the payments out over a year.
