Oh what's this. Installed Platinum and got errors from my main workhorse, NI Kontakt5.
When I load any patch in Kontakt 5 endless error popups: "Error: Parse Error", "Error: Newline expected".

This makes Platinum for my absolutely unusable. Can't load any of my old project.

Btw, no Kontakt5 problems in X3 Producer.

Sorry, Cakewalk, BIG FAIL
First test for platinum level technical support.

Kontakt 5 (player) has a new update. Maybe it has something to do with not working.

Change your windows locale to an english language, it is a problem with Native Instruments that has been verified by NI and Cakewalk is awaiting a fix from NI.

No, I'm not using the player, I'm using full version of Kontakt5 and the newest version.
And btw, no problems with Kontakt in StudioOne, not in ProTools, not in Sonar X3. Only in the new Sonar Platinum!!

Ok thanks. Changed windows locale to english (usa) seem to work.
But I don't think that it's really a bug by NI, because only platinum have problems with that localization. X3 and other DAW's work fine with Kontakt5 on a german windows.

I did a google search of "parse error native-instruments kontakt" and found forum posts dating back nine years across multiple daws. I think that sonar has dodged the issue for (how many versions in?) almost a decade speaks highly not just of the product, but the developers as well. That the issue was identified in a matter of days and so many forum members jumped on board to not only verify the issue but test a workaround speaks to the quality of these forums and participants.

And yet it was working on X3 yes?

Sure seems like it but developing against a moving target of third party vst developers updates I'm sure isn't an enviable task! :)
I saw not only kontakt parse errors in the search but other NI plugs as well, esp battery. Might be worth it to test the localization settings for their suite of plugs and let their team know of any other issues.
