  • [Solved] Sonar X3 Producer Lock Up Issue with Using Dimension Pro64

This is on a (non-internet) 64bit, Win7, i970 processor system with plenty of RAM, 24 bit recording via ASIO (512 samples).  Running X3e.

What happened: running a single Instance of DimPro64 with the following program:
DimPro64-> 22 -> Keys -> Wired Melo Stack
(has also just happened with another program just now, but I failed to write it down.  Does not happen to all programs, btw).

I'll be playing (everything normal) and then the audio simply get stuck horrifically on.... in a repetitive on state. Sonar has to be forced to close. Bad dog, lose project.

CTL-Atl-Del-> task manager reveals HUDNowTimeFB program (associated with X3Producer) "not responding".  After this SonarPD shows up as a running process but not a running program. Odd...

This lock up occurs when I play for a minute or two.... or play a lot of keys..... then bam!
Also will not let me export audio with this vts/program combo.....locks up.  Never any latency/audio issues with this machine.  Have run project with 20+ tracks with hardly a processor strain.  Tried setting the polyphony to 1 and bit at 32 in DimPro..... same eventual thing.  What bothers me is this just happened with another program.  All dimension files on C: drive.

A bit frustrating.  Any ideas?

Open the MIDI Matrix in the DimPro UI, the third icon to the right of the program name.
Set the "Random Unipolar" depth to 0.

WOW, Scook.  Don't know how you figured this out, but you're a lifesaver.  I've been having the same problem with a number of DimPro patches (different from berlymahn's) but just figured it was a "once in a while occurrence" and didn't use those patches again. Finally, I did a google search for HUDNowTimeFB and this thread came up!  Should have come here first...

Thanks!!!
