Ryan, can you spare a moment to chip in on my earlier post

"Previously, your account would be connected to the region you live in. Now you are expanding the currencies you take, would these still fall on the existing account, or another. Would I be able to view all the transaction in one place from the same place.

I have moved, and their maybe a tax benefit to purchase from a different region. If I am to merge my account, maybe it be better to do so when I make my next big purchase, ie X4"

Sure. The old store was technically three stores based off different regions and currencies. This resulted in the ability for a single person to technically be recognized as three (or more) entities behind the scenes. We've been cooking up ways to deal with this for years, but its never been that great. If you purchased a product on the USD store and then moved to the UK for example, you would not be able to download that product from the GBP store in most cases.

Single Sign-On merges data that has come from all three stores as well as retail registrations (not purchased on our store) and also Cakewalk On-Demand redemptions made over http://www.cakewalk.com/redeem.

To date, in my opinion its the best thing we've done in years in regards to making the user experience more consistent. We're still migrating some data behind the scenes so anyone sending Feedback, please know it is helpful!

Anyway, the new store really is just one store, so currency isn't tied to a weird login portal anymore. Your old info won't have an impact. Where you live in the world will.

To add, if you purchased something in a particular region and are wondering if this will qualify you for upgrade pricing on the new store... Yes it will. As long as everything migrated to your account properly. If something is missing just let us know so we can fix it.

I hope that sort of helps!

Not touch screen?
Then why all the wasted space?

Not a history?
Why Not?   The "OLD" reasonable interface provided both ownership and purchase dates. How was that wrong?

I did purchase 3 copies of DP.  So why does the new improved display NOT show which is the most current?  How is this useful to me as a customer of CW products?

The new interface is NOT an improvement.

I should not have to scroll five pages. The old display was able to fit most of my purchases from the last 15 years on just over one page with date of purchase in reverse order. This was intelligent design.

The new interface is less useful and wastes more space and requires the user to do more scrolling/clicks.  How is that an improvement?

Why do I have to read a FAQ file to learn why the single login is still not working as a single login?
I log in. And then am told I need to log in again when attempting to get to the store and the SINGLE login credentials are denied!   How is this a single login?

Ok, not getting much help here, but by digging through this thread I found one link to the store buried by Andrew Rossa on page 2 :

http://www.cleverbridge.c.../catalog/catalog.1307/

Otherwise I can end up at the store if I click to buy something, but then have back out of the cart.

Would not a button or menu item leading to the new store be a good idea somewhere on a Cakewalk page ?
And a way to get to My Account without having to first log out ?

I'm having a hard time finding this constructive. I can respect that this is your opinion but am having a hard time figuring out why stating in the way you are is helping. As I mentioned, there are design considerations for future products. Vertically scrolling will make much more sense then horizontally scrolling for products that have a plethora of properties associated with them in the future. The old design would force you to horizontally scroll back and forth for EVERY future product. It would also look pretty odd as a table with empty values for a lot of things. I think it will make more sense soon enough. It will actually save you from scrolling and clicking. Trust me!

As far as SSO login goes, why don't we just talk about what happened instead. You're saying the new store asked you to log in, you tried your Cakewalk SSO credentials and it failed? Can you provide us with the link you clicked that asked you to log in?

The new store looks ok to me. However I would suggest an option to hide the banner at the top so you do not have to scroll down to see things.

Just my $0.02

2014 brought about the worst in web design with the trend of huge banners and semi-static backgrounds, coupled with endless, endless scrolling. i cant wait for pages to go back to being pages and not vertical Bayeux Tapestries.

You are right, zoom out to 33%, even 50% (ctrl + minus/plus) before going back to 100% and you will see how intrusive the banner layout is and how much more accommodating and digestible the information is when designed to fit on a screen. A store landing page can accommodate a larger banner (like cakewalk.com currently) but not every single page of the store.

Ultimately these are just design trends, and I really dont care as long as everything is functional - but I wish designers would stop using up as much page real-estate as possible just because its free. (the cake store is only a mild offender here).

And the list used to be sorted by date. Now by product.
DP 1.5 is listed three times.
WHICH IS THE LATEST I PURCHASED?????????????

The obvious thing to do here would be to have a drop down for sorting by product/date. And perhaps filters for types of products. e.g. Application, plugin, training, Sound Library etc... And maybe a search facility.

(Some of it may already have been done haven't looked).

Cheers.

I could not even get on the new site until I clicked a link from another poster and it took me to a "cart" for a product I did not order, as I mentioned earlier, I could not get on the site, but anyway, this cart had all of my information and ready for me to pull the trigger.

I used my SSO and can't get to the site. Oh well.
