Thank you all for your input on this dilemma. :)
I have tried changing audio drivers (WASAPI, MME, ASIO, etc.), but with anything but MME, the playback is still fuzzy or just plain silent. ASIO didn't work because it was silent.
 
Eventually, I was considering buying an audio interface to assist in my production to create a smooth, more reliable workstation. I hope I can eliminate this problem...
