Ryan, Willy ... A month down the track and, as per Ryan's earlier general note, it looks like I'll have to deal through Support for this because I've had no response from my Feedback submission regarding incomplete transfer of My Account / My Products from the 'traditional' Cakewalk Store.

What's Cakewalk's view on the status of Product Registration migration? I do see the addition of the 'Free Offers & Giveaways' since last time  ... but this is also incomplete e.g., No Gobbler redemption code nor other template and video download locations.

My understanding is that the new My Products page was to become the authoritative location (at a time in the future). At this rate I don't trust that it'll ever be resolved for everyone because I suggest there's a bunch of people who are simply unaware of the potential issue(!?)

I've done this now (it's been ages since I last accessed the Cakewalk site or forums), but I'm not entirely sure what's different..?

Before:

2x passwords (for forums and shop), both using same email address.

After:

2x passwords (for forums and shop), both using same email address.

The MyAccount page seems to have the same stuff in it as before (registered products, order history), with a very similar if not identical layout.

Maybe it's all magical stuff hidden beyond the mystical user interface veil..? :^)

I cannot log in with my old login name? It says there is no user by that name. I tried resetting my password twice. The migration process cannot find my User name. How do I go about getting that info? There is no direct section of support that is for cakewalk forums?????? Why not? The only way to get support for my old account is to create a new account so I can post here???? I left message also on feedback tab after creating a new account. I would like my old account back please....help.

Hi Cakewalk employees or anyone who can help me:

I went through the motions to get my SSO account. It worked for a few days, but now it doesn't work.

Let me describe my experience?

After I 1st got the SSO account, I would sign into the forum and then go to the Cakewalk store, and I would already be signed into the store. I didn't have to log into the store. After a few days, I would sign into the forum (automatically as I selected the option to remember my login info, and I would be automatically signed into the forum) but then when after being signed in into the forum, and I go to the Cakewlak store, I would have to log into the store. Why is this?

I tried to go through the motion again to apply for a SSO account, but it says my username, thomasabarnes, is unavailable.

I'd like to be able to have the SSO function working for me, again. Can I get some help, so I can have the SSO function working for me again, permanently?

The Single Sign On current only works for the forum and https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account it has never been used for the real store account attached to http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/default.aspx. The real store account is still a separate entity with a separate sign on.

The new forum is not very good. I sign in. Make a comment and get a "Either the feature is disabled , or you do not have sufficient permission" error. This happens all the time. So I sign out, sign back in. Comment once and it happens all over.

It's really makes me not want to post. Frustrating as hell. I hope someone is reading this and something done ASAP!

This is exactly what I get on all but my XP Laptop. My W7 and W 8.1 kick me out after I log in the minute I open a thread.
All are using Chrome, I'm logged in to chrome so my bookmarks are shared.

I totally had to give up on my Cactus Music account as even following instruction  for the cookies I continue to get the internet is broken.
Funny how this account on a same computer worked the first time.

The My Store Account part of the store is what I'm talking about.

And as I said, SSO was working for a few days for me. I would sign into the forum and then go to the My Account part of the Cakewalk store and I would already be signed in. But, that is not working, anymore.

I'm wondering what's going on.

EDIT:

Oh, and I am using Chrome.

EDIT 2:

Ok, Scook, I think we are talking about different My Accounts. But, as I said, SSO was working for a few days for me. I would sign into the forum and then go to the My Account part of the Cakewalk store and I would already be signed in.

Now, I'm wondering what the SSO is referring to. I thought it was referring to that we could use a single sign on to be logged into the forums and the Cakewalk Store My Store Account.

I need some clarity from Cakewalk, now, about what places on the Cakewalk sites we are to be able to be logged into with a single sign on.

The Single Sign On has no link to the REAL Cakewalk Store account, there is only "MY Account" and the forum. The "My Account" page looks like this (ignore the green box and arrow):

If you cannot get to this page by following https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account there a problem with the Single Sign On Stuff.

If you are having trouble getting to your REAL Cakewalk Store account page using this page http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/login.aspx?returnURL=%2fb2cus%2fmyaccount.aspx%3fma%3d1 and your old store credentials there is a problem with your store account not related to the Single Sign On initiative.

The Single Sign On to your REAL Cakewalk store account has not be implemented. The only things implemented with the Single Sign On so far are a holder for your store account data https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account (NOT the real store account, just a copy of the the product list shown in the Products tab) and the forum.

At some point in the future the REAL Cakewalk store accounts will be part of the Single Sign On.

That was an enlightening post.

According to what you have described as the 2 Cakewalk site areas SSO is related to, SSO is working for me.

I misunderstood and thought SSO meant a single sign on for the forum and the Cakewalk store My Store Account.

SSO is working as designed to this point.

Thanks for the help, man.

You are a great forum user! If forum users are to be chosen for forum admins, it would be beneficial for us forum users, if you would be chosen as one.

Take care, ole good guy, and see you around. :)
