Hi guyz ...

Well since sonar supports VST 3 , i tried and didn't found anything justifing using it ...on the paper vst 3 is exellent but on the real use , none of the dev takes advantage of stuff like rescalable gui ect .....

Have you guyz nticed real improvement like on the cpu usage or is it just a waste of time ....since i installed only vst 2 since my firt try..

It is better if only because of idle behavior.

I'm not sure about the practical value with VST 3 but for the plugins that support it I use it. I'm not aware of what extra features are brought to the fore by this new technology. So far it works.

A minor thing, but I like the way VST3 effects get automaticaly classified and organized in Sonar. I am considering making a similar layout for my VST2 plugins.

So far I have not noticed much difference except VST3, particularly VST instruments can be more problematic. It would seem that some issues have been resolved in the new Sonar.

I've shied away as U-he's Diva plays a half step up (for example, A# instead of A) under VST3...
also heard people complain and with the Diva problems I just said not now...

The only advantage I've come across with VST3's is the bypass button, which is pretty useful.

I think it's the same with Tyrell N6.

I use VST3 vst's but not vsti's because whenever I hear of an issue, it's usually a vsti, whether it be Arturia, Sampletank, Diva, etc...

VST3 is great only if developer implement specific features.

Arturia and Sampletank 3 VST3 is reported as working in the new Sonar. I have not seen diva mentioned.
