John
I see this on my laptop. It uses a ATI graphics card and its running Windows 7 32 bit. The same thing is showing on my desktop with Nvidia graphics card and Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Before a projects is loaded nothing in one on the CB . After loading a project and closing it some modules lighted buttons stay lit.

I don't see this as a problem.

I don't think this is new to Platinum. My X3e installation does this on a system that has not yet seen Platinum. I did think it was a little odd when I first became aware of it, but I'm not sure when it showed up.

In any case it doesn't cause any problems that I'm aware of.

I guess, I have never noticed before. When I preform the steps
Start SONAR
Create new project
Close new project
on both X3e Producer and Platinum

The state of the control bar is different than when either program was initialized. Is this what you are seeing?

X3 on startup

X3 after create/close project

Platinum on startup

Platinum after create/close project

That's it exactly scook thank you for getting those images up to make it more clear.

It does not appear to affect anything but I would imagine this is unintended behavior that should be reported.

Thanks again for the replies and help!

Yeah, it appears there are some cosmetic issues with the control bar. I did not test X1 or X2 but would not be surprised if they have the same behavior.

FWIW, there are a couple of tutorials on how to get images into posts in this thread http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3118795

As Dave mentioned, this existed in X3e as I also have not yet installed SONAR Platinum and the screen captures posted above (for X3e) are accurate.

I just tried it on X2a to check, and it is similar there.
