Using Soundtoys 4.2 native for years, 64 bit is great, all their plugs are awesome, etc.

About a month ago, my projects with Echoboy in them began opening without Echoboy being located by Sonar. The "saved plug-in state" message showed up, instead of Echoboy proper.

No big, I figure, just a glitch, it will come back when Sonar re-finds Echoboy. I've seen this happen occassionally to other plugs.

1. Is Echoboy.dll in the proper vst folder? Check.
2. Re-scan all the vst's in Preferences/VST? Check.
3. Update Soundtoys to the latest 4.4? Check.

In short, Echoboy.dll is in the same folder with the rest of the Soundtoys plugins (PanMan, Tremolator, etc) and all those are available in Sonar "Insert AudioFx" menu . . . but for some crazy reason, Echoboy is not listed, and won't load under a vst scan . .

I've contacted Soundtoys but just wondering if any other Sonarians have seen this one . . . I'm on X3e.

many thanks,

OK, you did a re-scan, but did you re-set  VSTs first?  Can make all the difference.

Hmmm. I did have to "reset" the VST plugs recently, in order to initiate my new copy of Kontakt 5 I think it was. And t'was right around then when the Echoboy disappearance began to happen. I'm not totally sure on that.

I will try "resetting" and we'll see what else I lose!!! :)

many thanks for your reply.
