Is it my imagination, or does the program seem snappier?

I think it is snappier too. I think I mentioned it my mini review yesterday.

To think how many of us are so happy with the new Control Bar. Just one of many GUI parts. It just shows how some small things can have such an impact on our workflow. Even deeper, the mindset we adopt as we approach using the software.

Maybe better than my previous suggestion of having the Control Bar horizontally scrollable.

 
You've got the best of both worlds Steve. The CB is horizontally scrollable now. As soon as it's set up so there are modules "Offscreen" it can be scrolled either with the mouse wheel, or scroll arrows, and "jump to" arrows that appear at the relevant end(s).
 
It really is neat. I have it collapsed vertically mainly and use the "pop-up" on mouse over for access. Love it...
