  • Will SONAR Platinum plugin installers ever be unlocked?

On a virgin install of Cakewalk by Bandlab I cannot install a useable CA-2A from my saved CCC installer. LP-EQ and KP-MB do install from the saved installers and do not appear to require activation.

Wherever Adaptive Limiter is installed from (I'm assuming one of the other installers, maybe even SPLAT itself?) I cannot find it.

The Adaptive Limiter is in the Engineering FX Suite.

Which won't install on a virgin Cakewalk by Bandlab (no SONAR Platinum Installed).

CA-2A was a standalone product.  Not locked to Sonar.

Look in your legacy Cakewalk account, under 'My Products'

You should find your serial number and registration code there, along with a download link to the installer file.

I believe CA-2A v2.0.1.112 uses the new activation method. I know the old installer used the old serial number/registration code method.

I installed CA-2A from the saved CCC installer (on the virgin CBB machine) and it went into demo mode. Didin't go any further on that one.

I tried all the other installers and they all said I did not have the correct version of the "product" installed. I assumed this meant since SONAR Platinum was not installed the installer would not proceed. Which of course make sense.

Hence the OP.

There are some registry dependencies but the I do not believe program has to stay on the disk. How you get the registry updated is up to you. Installing the program may be the easiest way though or try the Command Center, I believe it will let you install "out of order." Never tried running the installers from the command line.

As I mentioned above, the CA-2A activation method depends on the installer used. The Command Center installer uses the same activation method as SONAR Platinum. If you did not install with the Command Center, there should be an activation option on the menu in the upper-right on the UI

That is the version I am running.  Same version in CCC and the download file in 'My Products'.

CCC lists a serial and reg code that matches those in 'My Products'.

I can access the CA-2A plugin from any host on my system.  Have not tried installing it lately, but I probably just used the CCC the last time.
