Cakewalk by Bandlab is NOT in the register? Win 8.1x64. At least I could not find it. So it's all online?
I was trying to get Sound forge in Utility menu to work. It doesn't in CW Bandlab. So I figured I would just add it to the register like I did before. Uh uh?
So? Confusing..............

It is 861MB on my PC. So I searched Bandlab in the registry, Only the Asst shows up?

It is called Cakewalk Core in the registry (just like the folders holding the program and user files). Cakewalk Core has registry entries just like SONAR Platinum. The Tool Menu settings are shared for all versions of SONAR and the new BandLab Cakewalk. All of mine show up including SoundForge. You may edit the registry or use the tool I wrote to manage the Tool menu from http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3472457. It is called SONARToolsEditor.

It's kind of hidden. Thats why I couldn't find it. It's in the normal  Cakewalk Music Software  directory in Local machine  key under Cakewalk, then Core. I assumed it would be under Cakewalk by Bandlab. Silly me.
I used to have that tool. Actually I probably still have it.
Sound forge works fine in my Plat App. So I guess not everything is shared.

Thanks again and again and again and again and again Scook   :-)

BTW Didn't know there was a Sound Forge Pro 12 until just now. I have 11 Pro. But it ain't worth $199 upgrade to me just to get 64bit and VST3.

The Tool Menu are shared on my PC but SONAR and Cakewalk are both 64bit bit.
They will not be shared if the old SONAR install was 32bit.

No never ever used 32bit from day one of 64bit. It shares everything but Sound forge is grayed out in the bandlab version. There is no Tools Menu in Core?
So confused again. Do I add a tools menu folder to the Cakewalk Core?

Also, I added the reference manual to the utility menu and that works fine in Bandlab CW?

It is grayed out because you have to make a clip selection first. This works the same as it always has just like D.

No sorry, it;s not grayed out when I select but I get that old cannot create process message?

That is a permissions mismatch problem. Soundforge is trying to run as administrator and Cakewalk is not running as administrator. My guess is you have the old SONAR set up to run as administrator.
