Gave up on Sonar and switched to S1 after the announcement but never got on with it as well as Sonar.

However after Presonus got rid of their own sw to control the audio interface and relied on the DAW to control all the routing etc of my 1818vsl I could never get sonar to work with my interface.

Has anyone got this new version of the software to work with an 1818vsl as I’d love to switch back? Or am I stuck with having to get to grips with S1 which has some great features but I never liked it as much as Sonar

Mine is working fine.

I had to refuse to update the 1818 driver for quite some time now so as to not lose the vsl capabilities. I did lose my ipad remote access as i was late discovering it wouldn't work without updating the pc's driver which would then lose the vsl...

Unfortunately I’ve already lost the vsl and have no way of getting it back so I guess that renders sonar unusable for me?

I updated the firmware on the 1818vsl so it’s now impossible for me to get their vsl software back on it

Ouch! I forgot about that part... might be a way to revert to the previous firmware.


It will still work, but loses the vsl features which can be devastating for many of us, but you can roll back the driver to the previous which does support vsl! I still have vsl on my machine.

I think my only hope is that bandlab develop the ability to control the interface like other daws do otherwise it’s game over for me
