Got mine and installed it, but it did not bring over my X3 settings on my main DAW. :(

On my laptop it asked which ones I wanted to import (x1, x2, x3), and it worked. odd.

So far http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Whats-New

Cool! Can ReMarrix solo be loaded as a VST plugin rather than a ProChannel module? Can it load in other DAWs?

No, but even if it were a plain VST, it would be locked to SONAR because it is a 3rd party plug-in created for SONAR by Overloud. Generally 3rd party plug-ins are locked to the SONAR. Cakewalk developed plug-ins are not locked to SONAR.

I did a quick and dirty mess with effects pre-sets on a bunch of loops, to create multiple mixes and utilise mix recall. Thus far, it is f-ing sweet!!! I thought it would take a bit longer to swap everything out, but it is surprisingly quick. (Though it may not be the same case for gigantic scoring types???)

It seems Mix Recall's responsiveness depends on how much you've changed in the project. For vocal up/down it's super quick. For changing out bunches of effects, tracks, automation, etc. it takes longer.

Glad you discovered the VocalSync is more than it appears at first. One thing that will confuse people is there is no "more" or "less" with the control...it's not like turning it clockwise syncs more and counter-clockwise syncs less. The "sweet spot" could occur anywhere along the knob's travel.

So it looks like now I will have an endless supply of new topics for Sound on Sound columns...

Always one of the first things I read when S.O.S. arrives!

I remember a thread a while back where people were asking about the ability to scale the piano roll larger?...

Well, for those who like it chunky?... Drink it in!

If you still need it larger? Just wait out for Fisher Price to make a DAW...

Yeah it is extremely impressive thus far. I was just fooling around with a lazy lead guitar line and was snycing it against a stuttery hip hop beat. Originally the guitars transients were coming a mishmash of just before and just after the beats. It sounded alright. But I was a bit "meh" towards it and was considering either deleting it or pulling up audiosnap. But I thought I'd give it a go with vocalsync? I rocked the dial and found a point where the guitar notes where (almost) all striking just a fraction before the beat and voila'! Now I'm happy with it! Total time taken = 15 seconds... That's BOSS!

Wait, I mean? That's Gibson! I mean Cakewalk! Well, you know what I mean?!!

I suppose that's better than Steinberg, which locks all bundled effect plugins, including its own. Even on other DAWs, Sonar's Channel Tools and the doubler in VX-64 are go-to tools for me.
