  • Can anyone check whether this issue still exists in the new SONAR?

Been struggling with this issue in SONAR for many years now and it is driving me nuts. Difficult to explain, so here is a video:

Can one of the lucky people that already have the new SONAR kindly check to see if it still reproduces?

Note you have to have Dim Solo enabled for this to reproduce.

I'll post the SONAR project somewhere if anyone wants it. It is simple enough... Just create a few soft synth tracks with some MIDI data (and make sure Dim Solo is enabled).

And here is the SONAR project, although really it is pretty straightforward.

Grrr

I was really hoping these kinds of MIDI issues were fixed. It seems so fundamental that this stuff should be rock solid in a modern DAW.

BTW this is just one example of weird MIDI behavior. When you start working with VST plugins that send MIDI data out into other MIDI tracks (e.g., Jamstix into another drum synth), it's a whole new dimension of strange and glitchy behavior. Unfortunately I can't find a plugin that ships with Sonar that sends MIDI data out, so it is a bit more difficult to create a "clean" project that reproduces it. In the past at least, CW wanted all 3rd party plugins removed when writing up problem reports so it makes it hard to report.

EDIT: BTW, thanks for checking into this Greeny, much appreciated!
