I have an old version of Kontackt player that came with the Art Vista Grand Piano. It's installed & registered & it works if i open up the Kontakt player itself but it doesn't work in Cakewalk  X1. When i go to insert soft synth & choose NI (Kontakt) it gives me the insert soft synth options boxes to choose from but when I hit O.K. it tells me that the synth may not be properly installed.
I reinstalled the player & the piano multiple times with the same problem.  Is there a way to have Sonar X1 recheck the soft synth players? Any ideas?

What comes to mind is that your running 64 bit and the VST is 32 bit and bit bridge is ignoring it.

That sounds logical but if that is the case is there any work around?
I really like this Art vista piano & I'd like to keep it if possible.
Another thing is that I downloaded the free Kontakt 5 player & X1 is not even showing it up at all in the soft synth menu. I assume this one is 64 bit but am not sure.

I had issue with Session Drummer in the past- I used Dependency Walker or something like that to check dependencies. My Kontact ooens and works so far and many other 32 bit soft synths work as well. You said- you re-installed Kontact? did you install in the same path? Sonar can rescan plugins. Try to delete .dll file manually and then reinstall Kontact in another folder and run soft synth scan after you set that folder path. Also do not move Kontact if it part of Komplete- it will not install updates.

Thanks,
That was very helpful, When i added the folder where the dll file was for kontakt 5 then it showed up in vsts & works fine. Using the truepianos on one track & the Art Vista grand on another has a pretty cool sound.
Now if I can figure out how to get Kontackt 2 completely out of the soft synth menu since I don't need it & it's not even installed any more.
