Too bad I can't make it a poll.  I'm on the fence between the two.  I'm usually a pay $149 type courtesy of Mr. Visa or Mastercard.

 Your thoughts?

I don't pay carrying charges so it will be a single payment on a credit card paid off when the bill comes in.

I haven't seen how the monthly payment thing works.  Is it an automatic credit card withdrawal?

I've got plenty of cash in my Paypal account so I can do a one time payment but the option to back out of the monthly payments if SONAR Platinum doesn't meet expectations when the drum replacement feature is ready is a nice option to have.

Doesn't Paypal have a feature to set up monthly payments? Otherwise you could just do it manually.

As far as the OP I'm going with the thumb up my bum payment plan... that is until I have some actual money to spend. Then I'd pay up front.

In the mega thread one of the staffers mentioned accepting paypal for the monthly plan.

Paypal is really lame if you're a seller but brilliant as a customer. It's cool Cake accepts it (and pays the associated fees). Quite a few places won't anymore.

When I sent money to someone else a while ago, they charged me a fee of about 3%. Is this a similar % to what CW would be charged? From your comment, it also sounds like this fee went up at some point.

EDIT: Lump sum. I want to get it out of the way and not have to think about it or be reminded about it every month.

I'll do the same I've always done. Single payment. It already costs a lot more with the weak Australian dollar being worth only USD$0.78.
