So cakewalk has a system in place to stop them getting in trouble for spamming. So should you send an email to your spam folder it causes an message that stops them sending further promotional emails. This system overrides the subscribing function on their website. Meaning you cannot simply re-suscribe, you have to log a call for them to manually intervene.
Here's the thing though, it's been faulty for a long time. Users claiming to have never sent an email to spam are loosing email contact. And additionally the problem means you don't know when you you have dropped of their listing, becuase you don't realise until ages have past that nothing has been received, and if you haven't received something for 6 weeks, it may be that nothing has been sent. So how long do you have to wait. I use the following equation
T=L
where:
T = time
L = to the length of a piece of string.
I dropped off their listing a while ago, and logged a call, they fixed it. I while after, not a long while it stopped again. Now I rarely send to spam, but I regulalry sort my spam folder by sender and check before I clear it. I am certain I am not triggering the spam feed back to cake.
They need to work out a different plan.
