If I have X3, buy platinum, what happens now?

Will my X3e be totally replaced, as if starting fresh, or will it be updates that get downloaded to my current installation and many of my current X3e app files stay.

X3e will still be available. The new version will install in a separate directory, like every version of SONAR before. Like all versions of SONAR there are shared utilities and plug-ins.
