  • I'm having a very strange problem and am completely stumped by it... (p.2)

Thanks for the concern, but the hard drive is fine. This is the only issue I'm having and it has the characteristics of a software issue. The rest of the system is as stable as can be and it would be quite obvious if the drive was beginning to fail. The chances of a brand new Crucial SSD failing are extremely slim, and just to be safe, I've already run a variety of hard drive tests with a 100% pass rate.

I've narrowed it down to a Sonar issue as it also gives me "Sonar has detected a corrupt audio region" errors when importing my previous 32-bit Sonar bundle files from my old desktop. I've found a fairly easy work-around, so I'll just put up with it until I eventually upgrade to X1. I could reinstall Sonar 8 but I don't have the time to devote to reinstalling and configuring all of the software.

There were a  few patches to Sonar 8 (8.3 is the most current, I believe). Make sure you've installed those.

Yes , good one Daveny, Did you isntall the 2 patches?? The patches are to fix bugs. And you should never use bundle files, They are from old versions of Sonar and are well known to cause issues with newer versions. Always use CWP files.

Try saving bundle project with either only mono waveforms or stereo waveforms....
