So I was one of the lucky ones got the early invite (and happened to be home from work sick today).

Command Center is awesome if you're willing to put your DAW online.  It functions as a download/installation manager.  When you log in, it tells you what products you have (Connected Products only) and if they are installed/up-to-date.  The best part was it was basically click and walk away download and installation.

As far as the software itself, I haven't had the opportunity to try any of the new features yet, but the control bar looks really cool.  No glitches importing settings from my X3 producer and no glitches opening up an X3 project.

More to come as I delve deeper into the software tonight and later this weekend.

I'm curious about PRV/Drum map improvements....

Can you chose to install individual functions or roll back to a previous version?
I know there is nothing to roll back to, but perhaps that feature might be visible.
I think this would be necessary, in case you patch your software and it breaks something, you will need abilty to roll back better than a system restore point.

Bakers have already said this was a capability (numerous times ).

At this point it is unclear how roll back works.

Your version number/build and serial number is listed in Command Center and the About screen in the help menu of Sonar.  A minor niggle (and I mean really minor) is that version/build number format is slightly different between the two locations.

Also, similar to X3, if you have the latest Dim Pro and Rapture you don't need to select them for installation.

Can you do a live webcast stream of your screen and send us a link so we can all sit back and see the new shiny things? :) *popping popcorn*

Because you only have one version there may be no roll back option. If you right click on the SONAR Platinum entry I think there should be a menu of options.

In Command Center, you can right-click the product name and pick any previous version (that was released while you were a member) and roll back. You can also roll forward in the same way. We were thinking about calling "Roll Around" for this reason.

If you have  X3 Producer installed, you'll only have to run the main Platinum install. That should get you everything new within 5 minutes.

How was your install experience? Did you do a minimal install of just the app or a full install? How long did it take for you?

If you need to roll back...........Roll back to Sonar X3e.
It has been assured this new install should not affect any previous versions.
