This is an issue with some older plug-ins written using the XP security model and not updated when the model was changed in newer versions of Windows. Going forward, if you can determine which parts of the registry need permissions changes and modify them or running the host (in this case X3) as administrator are the solutions.

Nope I have over 1500 that scan in Sonar X3e just fine.

FWIW, I install and run all music related software on my DAW box as administrator.

Yeah, seeing Waves mentioned I was expecting many more than 400.

It's X2 and before that had plug count limit. Not X3.

Yes, I know. I was not thinking about the old count limit when asking about plug-in count.
