Sorry for my silly diatribe.

There's a price to be paid if you buy early ie you may have to deal with early bugs until they get fixed but you have the use of the new features straight away..

If you leave it too late to buy then you may miss out. I've always been an upgrade early person because history has taught me that when Cakewalk or any vendor changes their methods, it's the people who were in early that get disadvantaged the least. Sorry you may miss out.

On the other hand theirs nothing stopping you from contacting sales and asking if you can still get an upgrade. There might be a slip up with the change to the store, sales models etc.

I've been a Cakewalk user since 94 and CW3.01.
I jumped to Pro Audio, then Sonar when it was introduced...
Typically I've waited until a new version was announced, and grab the previous version at a really good price.
I've been using X1, and was looking forward to X3 this month because this was typically when it dropped to $ 59.00 for
previous Producer license holders.

Now I see all previous versions have been wiped out and you have to go with the new format ? (and the new price)...

That sucks.

You'll have to get a boxed set, but you can still get that price.

Sorry, I misread the post, you're looking for the producer upgrade?  I didn't really check since I already had it, but I don't remember it dropping to $59 for an upgrade, and it certainly wouldn't be that low for a two version jump from X1 to X3.
 

That was the X3 price meaning the basic version.
