  • Comparison Chart between Sonar X3e and the New Sonar?

I suspect you knew someone would ask this question!

What would I gain from the new Sonar that I don't already have, considering that most of us purchase add-ons that
in effect constitute the new Sonar, so to speak?

Is it as easy as reading the version comparisions for artist/pro/plat, and comparing to what I've got?

I think that wouldn't make good reading to be honest and wouldn't offer you much incentive to upgrade from what I can tell

Also keep in mind that there are typically more than just the "wow" features to each upgrade.  Typocally less glamorous, but arguably more important iprovements are made under the hood. I suppose a comparison chart on that sort of thing woukd be too lengthy and dull reading for most.

Im not overly impressed with this new upgrade for the wonga you have to shell out... For someone on X3e Producer, I dont think I would go to Platinum maybe consider Professional.

well, on the right lines then! I always get a bit pissed off when Cakewalk state the $ price and us Brits pay loads more in the conversion which should be about £65 for the $99 upgrade to Pro

from the list of current new features, choosing Professional is the most sensible decision. I am however willing to shell out an extra 50 bucks in the hope that over the next 12 months the new additions to Platinum only will be worth it. The Drum Replacer seems to be the first such upgrade.

Thats why I think a product roadmap is essential

For the Forum host, is there a comparison chart that shows
Sonar X3e in one column, and the newest Sonar in the next column? It would compare
versions, not upgrades in the same version.

Your links above only compare various upgrade types in the same version.
