Looks to me like "content" means new features and/or new functions whether built into Sonar's core or designed as a plug-in. Perhaps "content" is being used as a term that contrasts with "bug fixes," which were a large part of the previous interim updates before the new "membership" idea. Now the bug fixes will be released as they happen, but "members" will also receive more significant new functionality and features all through the year instead of waiting for the next big release.

I too am most concerned with enhancements to sonar to make the core program better. I like my vsti and vst there is enough in my computer to keep me very busy except in the area of drums so the addictive selection thing is cool and you can never stop with collecting more reverbs. Continuance of drum and reverb add ons would be significantly more important than presets for cake synths since I am stocked fairly well in the synth dept. Guitar amps I have revalver, amplitube and others so TH2 gets very little usage and I do not see that changing. I may be adding forte to my arsenal and or some other live usage host. It would have been nice to see sonar add in features for using sonar in such a manner.

You missed AD2 plus 3 ADpaks, 3 Midi paks, 3 kit pieces. That alone is worth more than 149.
And don't forget the Rematrix solo convolution reverb.

All good things, I'm sure, but not worth a penny if you don't actually need them. Add-ons like these are less desirable/enticing to a mature Sonar audience who have long made up for Sonar shortcomings buy licensing similar (better) products from third party vendors.

I was listing Cakewalk developments. I wasn't trying to build a case for the charge for the package. I was trying to show how much Cakewalk have done since X3, to indicate what could be coming in the next year. We know 3 things are in the pipeline already.

I guess users will fall into 3 groups. Those that don't have a need for AD2 (either they don't use drum sample, or they have already invested in a competitor), those that do want to use AD2 and are happy, and those who were converted to AD2 with X3 and have the drums from XLN they want.

I'm in the last group. I have tried searching for XLN rumours, but I can't find info of new kits in the pipeline. I'm hoping for a mallet kit and more percussion to make up for the shortfall in  the Session Percussion Adpak, and maybe a kit that surprizes me. At the moment 3 Adpaks is simply too much for me for what they have available.
