Hi all,

I am trying to find a shortcut to add and remove clips from select groups (e.g., for multitrack drums). The online documentation indicates that [ and Shift+[ do this, but they don't seem to actually work. In the Preferences/Keyboard Shortcuts dialog I can't even find these commands to bind to a shortcut manually. Am I missing something?

I am not at my computer right now to try it out but I would be interested in the answer as well. I will try it out when I am at my computer.

You can try to remap those functions to different keys (or the same keys if you want). Just go into preferences (press the "p" key) and there is a keyboard mappings screen.

Were you able to try this? I know about manually setting up shortcuts, but the problem here is I don't see the command listed.  Hopefully user error on my part.

Has anyone else tried this? I am curious if this is some bug or limitation, or if I am just doing something wrong. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's a bug. I can't get the shortcuts to work as described. To remove a clip from a group, I have to select by dragging across it, and then removing using the context menu.

I suggest starting a thread in the Problem Reports forum.

In Preferences > Customization > Keyboard Shortcuts
under Area = Trackview
Search = Link
I find Clips | Unlink

I don't find the add.

Can't tell if it is a bug or an error in the documentation. [ is not bound to anything according to the keyboard shortcuts dialog. There is no way to bind SHIFT+[. The functions are not exposed for user binding either.

Looks like something for Cakewalk to fix then.   I will report it. Thanks for checking.
