Hi,

I thought I’d post this link to help anyone searching for a guide to the RGC:Audio SFZ player that is included with some Sonar software.

I’m currently using Home Studio 4, and the SoundFont playing approach is something I’ve not explored until now. SHS4 had a very brief overview of the SFZ plugin, but after reading somewhere that when RGC:AUDIO first released this player, they provided a manual/user’s guide in the form of a FAQ document, - I began to dig around. After following some false trails, I finally tracked it down

Somehow I came across some manual, but it might be for an older version:

It may be the wave file has a loop defined in it. Open the wave in an audio editor and remove the loop points.

I was mistaken about the source .wav file. Examining it (as you suggested), I found there was some part of it sounding as if being looped. So I edited the file accordingly, and all problems are gone.
That's why I edited my post, only the in-depth link remains. :-)

I remember buying the Cakewalk Synthesizers book when it first came out. It still makes a good reference for any of the Cakewalk synths. It's still relevant all these years later because the synths have had very little in the way of updates. It's well written with a good index so that you can find specific things easily.
