Is Sonar X3 awkward when placing and using midi vst plugins ... i.e. kirnu arpeggiator?
What's the easiest way to do the routings?
 

Kirnu Cream scans as a VSTi with MIDI output. Load it into an instrument track and it will appear in the MIDI or instrument input for any other synth.
 
MIDI effects plug-ins need to be loaded into an FX bin (often in a dummy track for hosting the plug-ins), the header for the plug-in will need Enable MIDI Input and/or Output enabled depending on the plug-in. The plug-ins will show up in the input and output drop downs of the other project tracks as appropriate.
