I've done some research but can't seem to find the answer...I have a feeling the answer is no but could a vocoder be used on something like this without sounding too synthy http://www.soundiron.com/instruments/choirs/requiem-light-player-edition/
Thanks very much,
Randy

Thanks everyone. I've used Pentagon a lot for "cross-synthesis" effects like "drumcoding," but am looking for something with more resolution so the voice is very intelligible. Guess it's demo download time...and thanks for reminding me about Razor!

I ran across some Audacity videos a couple of month ago but cannot seem to find the best one now. There are quite a few for giving a "robotic" sound to voice to varying levels that leave the audio intelligible.

Not to derail the thread, but I've really enjoyed the Pentagon synth. Never failed on me. Try the above suggestion.

Funny that Vocoder Plug-ins are not more popular. There doesn't seem to b that many, and nothing new. Penatgon manages to have a form, I wonder why other softsynths manufactures haven't done the same. Hip-Hop and Rnb seem to be keen on the sound, disco, house and funk too. The auto-tune sound dubbed as 'the vocoder sound' which is clearly not, I would have thought would have made Vocoders more sort after. Maybe that sound is close enough, satisfies, or maybe many don't realise the potential of 'The Vocoder Sound'.

It's a shame Melodyne doesn't export Pitch data in midi translation, not only would it be great for making synths and samples have more movement, but combined with a great sounding vocoder, could add another dimension to the synth voice.

Not sure what you mean by "Melodyne doesn't export Pitch data in midi translation".  You can export notes as MIDI from Melodyne, but I'm not sure that's what you mean.

Melodyne also shows the pitch modulation for vibrato and, slurs etc, but as yet this isn't transmitted in a Midi translation. Just Midi note, Duration and Velocity.

I've been using Waves Morphoder but it's pretty dated by now and its included synth is very limited. Would love some better options, like some others I'm completely puzzled why these aren't among the most popular plugs.
