  • Pitch bend range in DimPro

I've got an upright bass part using DimPro that I'd like to be able to pitch bend...but the max values are set to + or - one whole step with the pitch wheel.  Is there a way to set the value in Dim Pro so that when you move the pitch wheel (or draw a CC curve) the pitch will vary more than one full step each direction?  I'd like to get a "slide" effect by drawing in a wheel CC.

The only way I've been able to do it so far in the PRV is to place the note one full step up or down the scale from the note I'm actually wanting....then pitch bend it with the CC's full range.  But this only gets me two full steps up or down the scale.  I know that with my hardware synths I could go in and change the pitch bend range  + or - a full octive....but I'm not familiar enough with Dim Pro to be able to find the parameter for this.

Anyone familiar with programming Dim Pro enough to tell me what I need to change for the pitch bend range with CC?

Thanks.

Click on Bend up/down in top left of Dim Pro window, and use up and down arrows on qwerty keyboard to increase/decrease the range of up and then down.

I'm checking this out right now in X3 and see that the DN value seems to have no affect but the UP value does. IOW, I can change just the UP value and it affects both UP and DN. I can change the DN value and nothing happens.

There is a setting somewhere in Sonar that will change the global range of the CC controllers but it will affect the entire project so I found that method very awkward to use.

In Dim Pro you can also transpose and fine tune an instrument as well as change some other controllers.

In Dim LE you cannot change any of the values.

Am I right that LE only works in 32 bit Sonar and Pro only works in 64 bit?

The way I changed the parameters was to click and hold the mouse button and drag the mouse...up or down.  But I did them individually...and it changed the value range to what I specified.

Thanks again guys...!

Soens...I will try to recreate what you are describing when I get to the studio tomorrow.  That's interesting.

You can also use the up/dn arrows. Double clicking a value returns it to default. The value currently in focus is orange.
