I'm currently using X2 and I'm making a lot of changes to envelops that would apply to other tracks.  Is there a way to link envelops between tracks so when I change one envelop the others change as well?

If you can group the parameter you are automating, you might be able to do this.  Also, you could route those tracks to a bus and apply the envelope to the bus.

I sometimes want the same thing. To be able to have envelope grouping so envelope edits in track view would duplicate could be useful. Not sure how to implement it, but I've wished for it.

You can certainly create multiple automation envelopes on the fly whilst in Write mode - just ctrl + click the relevant control on each track (e.g. volume), set them to read, play your project and moving any one of the (now grouped) faders.

Not sure about editing them after they've been recorded. But you can always change just one of them, then copy & paste special into the destination track(s)

Yeah, there are definitely lots of ways to achieve it. I didn't mean to be a whiner.

You can use add nodes at selection across multiple tracks and selected envelopes.

Select the nodes you wish to move, hold down the ctrl key to quick group and then move one of them. The rest of the selected nodes will follow.

You can edit/move multiple envelopes simultaneously (even if they're different types) by ctrl-clicking their respective automation lanes and using the smart tool. For example, move the envelopes left/right, up/down, limit to upper or lower, etc. Also if you select only a particular range, then the operations will affect only that range.
