You get notifications of update via email. If you have never had an email, then see this link
https://www.cakewalk.com/Newsletter If you previously had an email but have stopped receiving newsletters, then their you have either marked a previous email as spam, or there has been a miscommunication between your email and theirs that makes them think you have marked an email as spam (I am certain I have not, but once again my newsletters have dried up) . In this case do not re-register it's ineffective, you must email them direct

http://www.cakewalk.com/Contact/RegistrationSupport If you have registered previosuly for the news letter, but never purchased, and have stopped receiving emails, then you need a direct email address, as you'll have no product code or order number. I don't know what that email adress is though.
